Navahan Parayan – a special nine-day discourse.
राम उपासक जे जग माही ।
एही सम प्रिय तिन्ह के कछु नाहीं ।।

Meaning – Nothing is as desirable as Shriramcharitmanas for all the devotees of Shri Ramji in the entire world.
NavahanParayan – which means a nine day discourse is conducted for nine consecutive days with pauses and breaks at various junctures of the epic. The pauses in its rendition are taken at exactly the same occasion, as prescribed and approved in Shriramcharitmanas.
The entire epic is divided in nine segments and the break-up is as follows:
Day 1– BalkandMangalacharan to couplet 120 (K)
Day 2 – Balkand- couplet 120 (K) to 239
Day 3 –Balkand – Couplet 240 to conclusion of Balkand
Day 4 – AyodhyakandMangalacharan to couplet 116
Day 5 –Ayodhyakand couplet 117 to 236
Day 6 – Ayodhyakand couplet 237 to Aranyakand couplet 29(K)
Day 7 - Aranyakand couplet 29 (Kha) to Lankakand couplet 12 (K)
Day 8 – Lankakand Couplet 12 (Kha) to Uttarkand couplet 10 (KHA)
Day 9 – Uttarkand couplet 11 to Uttarkand conclusion.
Manas Satsang organizes these musical discourses along with their skilled team of singers, musicians and narrators. A traditional pooja/worship is done on the first day of the Parayan by a team of Brahmin priests to mark the beginning of the nine-day schedule. The music which changes the beat and rhythm based on the mood, occasion and situation during the entire session of nine days creates a heavenly aura and divine feel in the environment. Each participant is given a copy of the epic for reference to facilitate to recite and sing along in chorus.
Navratri – which falls in the months of Chaitra and Ashwin, of the Hindu calendar are considered as the most auspicious times to conduct such sessions. The devotees participate in these discourses with full devotion and dedication.
Duration :3 ½ to 4 hours daily - for nine consecutive days.
