“MANAS SATSANG”

With the divine blessings of Shri Hanumanji and Shri Ayodhyanath ji along with the invocation of Sant Shri Goswamiji Tulsidasji Maharaj; ‘ManasSatsang’ has embarked on a global mission to spread awareness of the significance of Shri Ramcharitmanas – an epic composed by Sant Shri Tulsidasji.
Shri Ramcharitmanas is considered as one of the greatest work of Indian literature. It sums up our traditional values, customs, culture, social norms and morality in one great epic. It is considered of highest value in various terms, not only in India but abroad as well.
Though Sant Goswamiji wrote this epic in a biographical form depicting the life of Lord Shri Ramchandraji, the ultimate purpose of composing it was to instill the values of truth, morality, ethics, brotherhood, loyalty, virtues and honesty. Shri Ramcharitmanas provides an answer to every question of life. Shri Ramcharitmanas indeed meets the actual objective of the very reason any literature is meant to be composed  – the objective of betterment , progress and happiness of mankind at large.
Quoting a couplet from BalKand..

Keerati Bhaniti Bhooti Bhali Soil  Sursari Sam Sab Kah Heet Hoi II

Meaning: Only that success, literature and wealth is worthy in this world which is as pure as the holy river Ganga which benefits one and all.
Shriramcharitmanas is an ideal epic. It imparts practical lessons of life along with knowledge, devotion and the laws of Karma. It guides the human being in various behavioral aspects. It portrays the roles of an ideal king and his subjects, an ideal server, an ideal son, an ideal brother, ideal parents, etc. It actually mirrors the ideologies of a perfect human being and his various aspects. The underlying base of this composition which is further divided in seven parts or ‘kand’ as we call them is pure love and devotion for the Almighty. It is only through unconditional love and devotion that we can attain the blessings of Lord Shri Ram.
People try to find a place in Lord Shri Ram’s feet and seek his blessings through various means like chanting mantras, fasting, sacrifice, worship, offerings, donations, yoga, science, oblations, controlling their desires, etc. However doing it with selfless devotion ultimately gives you the success of attaining the lord’s blessing.

जप तप मख सम दम ब्रत दाना ।  बिरति बिबेक जोग बिग्याना।।
Jap Tap Makh Sam Dam Vrat Daana I Birati Bibek Jog Bigyaana II
सब कर फल रघुपति पद प्रेमा । तेहि बिनुकोउ न पावइ छेमा ।।
Sab Kar Fal Raghupati Pad Prema I Tehi Binu Kou Na Paavad Chemaa II

Shriramcharitmanas is one such timeless composition that has touched the lives of millions of people. It has positively affected every person who comes in its contact; be a devotee, a follower or a disciple. People who read or recite Shriramcharitmanas regularly experience a feeling of magical joy and happiness in their lives.

In Uttarkand Goswamiji says…
Ram Hi Sumiria Gaayia Ramahi I Santat Suniya Ram Goon Grammahi II
रामहि सुमिरिअ गाइअ रामहि । संतत सुनिअ राम गुन ग्रामहि ।।
Meaning: Keep remembering Lord Ram continuously, keep singing his praises and keep listening to his praises.

The three guidelines of this couplet mean
Ram Smaran – Keep remembering the Lord continuously
Ram Gaayan – Keep praising the Lord by singing his bhajans
Ram Shravan – Keep listening to the stories of the Lord.

Considering this couplet as our line of action to attain the blessings of Lord Shri Ramchandraji for all, Ahmedabad based ‘Manas Satsang’ is involved in activities such as musical recital of Shri Ramcharitmanas, Sunderkand recital, Ram katha, periodic discourses, etc.
We introduce ourselves by the name, ‘Manas Satsang’ , since the word ‘manas’ itself identifies with Shriramcharitmanas. It will be our continuous and selfless effort to keep remembering our Lord, keep singing his praises and keep talking about him, his virtues  and his idealistic life through our musical recitals and discourses which in turn will benefit one and all.
